The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in Appleton Wiske

As part of the village’s celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, Appleton Wiske branch of the Yorkshire Countrywomen baked cakes.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many cakes in one place, ever! Here’s a picture – but there were more waiting to go out as these got eaten.

The cakes not eaten for tea on Sunday were finished off at the street party on Monday.
